We all have rainy days. Days where nothing seems to go right. Days where we get doors slammed in our faces and we feel like giving up. Days we just go through the motions waiting impatiently for the day to be over. Those days happen and there are going to be more ahead, but we have been promised that we won't go through them alone. The Savior is there every step of the way, waiting for us to lean on Him. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
I was given this poem the other day and I love it! It is a good reminder that there are sunny days ahead if we keep pushing forward.
Don't Quit
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the Road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow-
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the straggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

I know that things are hard, that days don't go as we planned but that is okay, Heavenly Father has a better plan. We have trials so we can learn from them and so we can better enjoy our blessings. When it is too hard to stand, then kneel and pray for help. It will come and things will get better. I love you and I know that He loves you. We have our rainy days but we can be kept dry through the umbrella that covers everything, The Atonement.
